INTL 622 - Seminar in Int'l Accounting
An examination of various international accounting topics, including foreign
currency translation, analysis of foreign financial statements financial
reporting and disclosure, transfer pricing and international taxation,
harmonization of accounting standards, and comparative accounting systems. 3
hrs.
INTL 636 - Corp & Intercultural Communications
Corporate and Intercultural Communications addresses crisis communications,
public relations, media relations, intercultural communications, and current
topics. Other topics include business writing and presentations. 3 hrs.
INTL 643 - International Trade Law
Exploration of the legal and ethical framework within which organizations
operate to transact business across national borders. Topics include an
introduction to legal and quasi-legal organizations (NAFTA, GATT, ECU, WTO,
World Bank and others); Federal (U.S.) laws regulating the conduct of U.S.
citizens abroad; and ethical issues raised by the conduct of business in a
foreign cultural context. 3 hrs
INTL 650 - International Business
An overview of the major forms of international business with special
attention to exports and imports, overseas investments, production and basic
marketing operations, licensing, financing and other international business
services. 3 hrs.
INTL 651 - International Finance
An in-depth study of the financial management of a firm including the
acquisition, control, taxation, and investment of funds under international
influences, such as fluctuating exchange rates and institutional
differences. 3 hrs.
INTL 652 - International Marketing
An advanced study of marketing in the global marketplace, including methods
of opportunity assessment, strategies required when marketing in various
cultural, economic, legal and political environments and approaches to
managing global marketing operations. Prerequisites: BADM625, INTL650 or
permission of instructor. 3 hrs.
INTL 653 - Seminar in Int'l Trade
This is the capstone course required for all students obtaining the IMBA
degree. Presentations and discussions will concern current problems
affecting the international trade and the development of professionalism in
the discipline. One or more sections of this course will include an
international travel component. While on the trip, the class will visit
foreign firms, meet with a variety of business and academic leaders and
study issues particular to that region of the world. Prerequisites:
Completed INTL650 or permission of the Director of the program. A student
earning a final grade of less than a "B" must repeat the course. 3 hrs.
INTL 695 - Current Topics in Int'l Bus
A specialized study of various international developments. Topics will vary
from semester to semester. 3 hrs.
